We focus primarily on education, through the St. Augustine Society School, and the
complementary social components which aid this goal.
Our method and structure aim to provide a continuity for the participant, culminating in the
manifestation of the insights presented by Augustine in the Confessions, as well as others.
Our method:
1. Our classes and discussions are structured to help, in every way possible, the
individual's efforts to grasp the difficult and substantial ideas of the presentation.
2. We believe that a quiet listening is essential for clarity.
3. We are neither confessional nor confrontational.
4. Our classes are open and casual, and hopefully thorough.
Classes are currently held in four venues:
Toronto, Muskoka, Buffalo and Cleveland
We shall endeavour to provide participants with all the materials necessary to ensure the greatest possible benefit. Prior to classes,
we will provide you with a reading list, class topics, seminar schedule, etc.
Cost:
We apportion expenses per participant based on our costs. Presenters are not
remunerated. Costs stem from class handouts and space
rental; these should not be much. We will inform you of costs
as they become available.
Participant response:
Please provide your particulars, including mailing address, phone, e-mail address, fax.
As we are a merit-based organization and we are of necessity careful whom we admit to our classes, we ask you to write a 100 - 200
word essay on the impact on you of a reading or artistic work. We will respond to all submissions.
